Role Description The Head of Department – Jewellery Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role oversees the jewelry design function, leading a team to develop current collections from concept to final product. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing design sketches, guiding CAD development, aligning designs with market trends, and ensuring feasibility for production. The Head of Department collaborates with merchandising, production, and marketing teams to plan assortments, refine prototypes, and maintain brand design standards. This role also involves mentoring designers, managing project timelines, and contributing to strategic decisions on product direction and innovation.
Qualifications

Strong jewelry design skills, with experience in creating original concepts and collections.
Proficiency in drawing and visualization to translate ideas into detailed design sketches.




Knowledge of fashion jewelry trends and materials, with the ability to adapt designs for diverse markets.
Experience in product design, including understanding of manufacturing processes and cost considerations.
Capability in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for jewelry, such as Rhino, Matrix, or similar software.
Prior experience leading or managing a design team, ideally in a jewelry or fashion-related environment.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Relevant qualification in Jewelry Design, Product Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
Attention to detail, a portfolio demonstrating high-quality design work, and a focus on quality and timelines.
