Team Overview
The Fraud Solutions Engineering team is responsible for building and enhancing TransUnion's fraud detection and prevention platforms that help customers make trusted decisions, reduce risk, and combat evolving fraud threats. The team develops scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that support critical business operations and customer-facing solutions across TransUnion's ecosystem.

This role is part of the Software Development organization and collaborates closely with Product Managers, Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps teams, and other engineering partners to deliver cutting-edge fraud detection capabilities and technology solutions. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Developer (Java), you will design, develop,



and maintain Java-based applications and scenario workflows that support TransUnion's fraud detection platforms. This role exists to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions that enable efficient fraud identification, operational excellence, and continuous product enhancement.
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications, business scenarios, and workflow components that support fraud detection and prevention solutions.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using Java, Spring Framework, and modern software engineering best practices.
Build and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration services to support platform scalability, reliability, and interoperability.
Conduct code reviews, implement automated unit tests, and contribute to quality assurance activities to ensu
