About Velocious App

Velocious App is looking for a talented and motivated Website Developer / Web Designer to join our remote team in India. You will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing modern, responsive, and high-performing websites that deliver an excellent user experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop responsive, mobile-first websites.
- Convert UI/UX designs and concepts into clean, functional web pages.
- Build user-friendly and visually appealing website interfaces.
- Develop reusable, maintainable, and well-structured code.
- Ensure websites work smoothly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, SEO, and accessibility.
- Integrate APIs, forms, third-party tools, analytics, and other web services.
- Test websites across different browsers and devices.
- Identify and fix bugs, performance issues, and technical problems.
- Maintain and update existing websites and web applications.
- Work closely with designers, product teams, and other developers.
- Follow modern web development standards, security practices, and coding best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest web development technologies and trends.

Required SkillsFront-End Development
- HTML5
- CSS3

- Responsive Web Design
- Bootstrap and/or Tailwind CSS
- React.js or another modern JavaScript framework
- DOM manipulation and browser fundamentals




- Cross-browser compatibility

Web Design & UI/UX
- Good understanding of UI/UX principles
- Ability to create clean, modern, and user-friendly interfaces
- Experience working with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools
- Understanding of typography, spacing, layouts, colors, and visual hierarchy
- Ability to convert Figma/design files into pixel-accurate web pages

Backend & Integration
- Basic understanding of backend development
- REST APIs and API integration
- JSON
- Basic knowledge of Node.js, PHP, Python, or similar backend technologies
- Understanding of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB is a plus

Performance, SEO & Security
- Website performance optimization
- Basic technical SEO
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals
- Image and asset optimization
- Basic web accessibility principles
- Understanding of common web security practices

Tools & Development Practices
- Git and GitHub/GitLab
- VS Code or similar development environment
- npm/yarn
- Basic command-line knowledge
- Debugging and browser developer tools
- Familiarity with deployment and hosting platforms is a plus

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.




- 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in web development or web design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating previous website development work.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects.

Good to Have
- Experience with Next.js.
- Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms.
- Knowledge of TypeScript.
- Experience with Shopify or e-commerce websites.
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Knowledge of website hosting, DNS, domains, SSL, and CDN configuration.
- Experience with CI/CD and cloud platforms.
- Understanding of conversion-rate optimization (CRO).
