Role Overview The WebFOCUS Platform Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, security, performance, and ongoing maintenance of the organization's WebFOCUS Business Intelligence environment (TIBCO/Information Builders WebFOCUS). This role ensures the platform remains stable, secure, and performant to support reporting, dashboards, and analytics for business users across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and upgrade WebFOCUS components, including the Reporting Server, App Studio/Developer Studio, Business User Edition, and related middleware (Tomcat/WebSphere/WebLogic, Java)
- Manage user accounts, groups, roles,



and security profiles through WebFOCUS Security Center, including integration with LDAP/Active Directory and single sign-on (SSO)
- Configure and maintain data adapters/connections to relational databases, data warehouses, and other data sources
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and tune the platform for optimal resource utilization
- Manage repository content, including migration of reports, procedures, and metadata between development, test, and production environments
- Schedule and monitor batch jobs, report distribution, and ReportCaster activities
- Apply patches, hotfixes, and version upgrades, including testing in non-production environments prior to deployment
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and failover procedures for the WebFOCUS environment
- Configure clustering, load balancing, and high-availability setups for production environments
- Maintain documentation for system configuration, standards, and operational procedures
- Provide technical support to report developers and end users, troubleshooting connectivity, performance, and access issues
- Collaborate with database administrators, network teams, and security teams to ensure platform compliance and integration
- Knowledge of Unix, Windows, Linux administration is preferred
