Role Description The Video Editor – Podcast role is a full-time, in office position based in Noida Sector 59. This role involves editing podcast video and audio episodes, assembling raw recordings into polished, engaging content, and ensuring consistent visual and sound quality across all releases. Day-to-day tasks include trimming and sequencing clips, adding graphics and subtitles, adjusting sound levels, and collaborating with hosts, producers, and designers to align episodes with editorial guidelines and brand identity.

The Video

Editor – Podcast will also manage files and assets, optimize exports for different platforms, and work within production timelines to meet publishing deadlines.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in video editing for podcasts,



including experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Proficiency in audio editing and mixing, including noise reduction, leveling, and ensuring clear, consistent sound quality.
- Ability to create and integrate visual elements such as titles, lower-thirds, simple motion graphics, and subtitles to enhance viewer engagement.
- Solid understanding of digital media formats, aspect ratios, compression, and export settings for platforms such as YouTube, social media, and podcast video hosts.
- Good sense of pacing, storytelling, and editorial judgment to shape conversations into coherent, compelling episodes.
- Strong organizational skills for managing media assets, version control, and adherence to production schedules and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with producers, hosts, and other team members in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Relevant experience in digital media, broadcast, or podcast production; a degree or certification in film, media, or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Awareness of current affairs and interest in The Tatva’s editorial focus, with the ability to adapt editing style to the brand’s tone and audience.
