US Accountant — US Taxation & US Entity Compliance Finsignments · [City], India · Full-time · Hybrid IST core hours with a fixed [3–4] hour US overlap

ABOUT THE ROLE

Finsignments is an offshore accounting, tax and compliance partner for US CPA firms, family offices and US-registered businesses. We run the work that sits behind a US return and a US entity — the books, the close, the book-to-tax workpapers, the federal and state filings, and the registration calendar that keeps an entity in good standing.

We are hiring US Accountants across a 2–8 year band (Associate, Senior and Lead levels) to own a portfolio of US client entities end to end.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Accounting and close

- Full accrual books in QuickBooks Online / Desktop or Xero, including multi-entity and class-tracked files
- Bank, credit card and merchant-processor reconciliations
- Month-end and year-end close — accruals, prepaids, deferred revenue, depreciation, fixed asset registers
- Intercompany mapping and elimination across related entities
- Chart of accounts design that maps cleanly into the tax workpaper

US taxation (you prepare; a US CPA or EA reviews and signs)
- Forms 1065, 1120-S, 1120 and 1040 with business schedules — including Schedules K-1, K-2/K-3, M-1/M-3, basis and capital account tracking
- Book-to-tax workpapers, MACRS and Section 179 depreciation, Forms 4562/4797
- Multi-state income, franchise and pass-through entity returns; apportionment and nexus analysis; sales and use tax registration and filings
- Payroll and information returns — 941, 940, W-2/W-3, and the full 1099-NEC cycle from W-9 collection to filing
- Cross-border compliance — Forms 5472, 5471, 1120-F,

W-8BEN-E, 1042-S, FBAR
- IRS and state notices, penalty abatement, Forms 2848 and 8821
- Elections — Forms 2553, 8832 and 1128

US company registrations and entity compliance
- Entity structuring support — LLC vs S-corp vs C-corp, Delaware vs Wyoming vs home state
- Secretary of State formation filings, registered agent appointment, EIN via Form SS-4 (including the route for foreign owners with no SSN), ITIN via Form W-7
- Foreign qualification into new states, state payroll and withholding registrations, sales tax permits, local licences and DBAs
- Annual and biennial reports, Delaware and Texas franchise tax, amendments, reinstatements, dissolutions and certificates of valuable standing
- Beneficial ownership reporting under the current FinCEN rules
- Banking and merchant onboarding packs for US entities

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must have

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance), or CA / CMA — qualified, semi-qualified or Inter
- 2–8 years in accounting, with at least 18–24 months on US clients, US books or US tax. This one is not negotiable
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to explain a book-to-tax difference without looking it up
- Hands-on QuickBooks Online — chart of accounts, bank rules, reconciliations, multi-entity
- Preparation experience on at least one of Form 1065, 1120-S, 1120 or 1040
- Familiarity with at least two state filing regimes beyond the federal return
- Advanced Excel, and the habit of leaving working papers auditable
- Written English strong enough that a client email you draft goes out unedited
- Availability for the US overlap window and for the Jan–Apr and Sep–Oct peaks
