Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced RPG iSeries Developer with robust hands-on expertise in IBM i (AS400/iSeries), RPG/RPGLE, RPG Free, CLP, DB2, SQL and Embedded SQL. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, debugging, maintaining and optimizing enterprise applications while ensuring code quality, system performance and application reliability.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in production support, and a good understanding of EDI concepts and IBM i environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance and maintain IBM i (AS400/iSeries) applications using RPG, RPGLE, RPG Free and CLP.
- Analyze existing applications and implement enhancements based on business requirements.
- Design, develop, test and optimize RPG applications for improved performance.
- Develop SQL-based solutions using Embedded SQL within RPG programs.
- Work extensively with DB2 databases and ensure data integrity.
- Debug and troubleshoot production and development issues using the IBM i System Debugger.




- Work with Library Lists, File Members, IFS and IBM i system objects.
- Perform application and code analysis to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established coding and development standards.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with business, technical and cross-functional teams during development and deployment.
- Prepare technical documentation and support production activities.
- Follow best coding practices and contribute to reliable, scalable and high-quality software solutions.
- Understand and work with EDI-related processes and integrations.

Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: 5–7 years of relevant RPG iSeries / IBM i development experience.
- Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days only.
- Candidates with career gaps exceeding 9 months will not be considered.
- Freelancers / Independent Consultants: Not eligible.
- Candidates with frequent job hopping will not be considered.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in a remote environment.
- Strong hands-on experience in the mandatory technical skills is essential.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

CTC: ₹9–15 LPA

Work Location: Remote

Joining Requirement: Immediate to 15 Days

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be a hands-on IBM i / AS400 RPG Developer with strong experience in RPGLE/RPG Free, CLP, DB2, SQL and Embedded SQL, along with practical knowledge of IBM i system environments and EDI concepts. The candidate should be capable of independently handling application development, debugging, optimization and production support activities.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
