Position: Urban DesignerLocation: Noida, Uttar Pradesh
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site Only

About the RoleWe are seeking a mid-level Urban Designer with 05 to 08 years of qualified experience in urban design, master planning, public realm and/or waterfront development projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of urban-scale design and demonstrate the ability to translate design concepts into coordinated, implementable proposals.
The candidate should have working knowledge of urban design principles, traffic codes, development bye-laws, construction standards, site planning and public realm design, along with experience in coordinating with consultants, contractors, execution agencies and other project stakeholders.
Experience in lakefront/waterfront development, heritage precincts, streetscape and public realm projects will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop urban design concepts, master plans, lakefront/waterfront development strategies and public realm proposals.
- Develop design proposals for lake edges, promenades, ghats, plazas, streetscapes, pedestrian networks, open spaces and public amenities.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, plans, sections, elevations, diagrams, presentations and other project deliverables.
- Translate conceptual proposals into detailed, implementable design solutions while considering site conditions, existing infrastructure and construction feasibility.
- Undertake site visits, site assessments and documentation of existing conditions, particularly for lakefront, waterfront, heritage and urban public realm projects.
- Coordinate design development with architectural,
landscape, infrastructure, MEP, structural, traffic and other technical consultants.
- Coordinate with contractors, execution agencies, government departments, local authorities and other stakeholders during project implementation.
- Review site progress and provide design inputs/clarifications to support the execution of approved proposals.
- Identify design and execution conflicts and coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare reports, design documentation, technical notes and drawings required for project approvals and tender/execution processes.
- Support in developing client presentations, design narratives, project documentation and stakeholder presentations.
- Work with and interpret relevant GIS data, spatial information and mapping, and demonstrate working knowledge of relevant GIS software for site analysis, mapping and urban-scale design development.
- Coordinate and manage information received from surveys, GIS data, consultants and execution agencies to maintain consistency across project drawings and documentation.
- Ensure accuracy, quality and consistency of all design and technical outputs.
- Monitor project deliverables and coordinate with internal and external teams to meet project timelines.
- Be available for relocation,
site visits or extended stays at project locations, as required by project requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning or a related discipline.
- Minimum 05 years of professional experience in Urban Design, Master Planning, Public Realm, Waterfront/Lakefront Development or related projects, preferably with a reputed design/architecture/urban design firm.
- Strong understanding of urban design principles, development bye-laws, traffic regulations, construction standards and site implementation processes.
- Working knowledge of GIS software and spatial analysis/mapping workflows is required.
- ·Proficiency in relevant design and documentation software used for urban design and architectural projects.
Preferred Experience
- Demonstrable experience in Urban Design, Master Planning, Lakefront/Waterfront Development, Streetscape, Public Realm or Heritage Development projects.
- Experience in developing projects from concept through detailed design, documentation, tender and/or site implementation.
- Experience coordinating with government agencies, local authorities, contractors, consultants and execution agencies.
- Ability to understand site constraints and translate design intent into practical and buildable solutions.
- Candidates who can showcase completed or ongoing projects involving lakefront development, waterfront edges, promenades, ghats, public spaces, pedestrian networks and urban revitalisation will be given preference.
- Strong communication, coordination, documentation and presentation skills.
