MagicType is looking for an Associate Type Designer to work remotely, full-time, with our founder on designing new dual-script (Latin + Devanagari) display typefaces for future releases.
- Design work from early sketches through finished type families — not production or maintenance on the existing catalogue
- Must apply with a portfolio or link to your projects, including at least one type design project — we want to see your actual work, not just a résumé
- Working knowledge of Glyphs (GlyphsApp)
- Devanagari drawing experience preferred, or genuine motivation to build that skill quick — both scripts are designed together here, not Latin-first with Devanagari bolted on
- India-based candidates preferred for time zone overlap; strong candidates elsewhere will be considered
- Compensation based on experience, discussed directly in the interview
