We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Trainee to support the Finance team in managing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) function by assisting with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting activities. The role will work closely with Finance, Accounting, and Business stakeholders to provide timely financial insights that support decision-making and business performance management.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for business and finance reviews.
- Perform Actual vs Budget vs Forecast variance analysis across revenue, expenses, margins, and operational KPIs.
- Assist in preparing financial models, planning templates, schedules, and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, and functional teams to collect, validate, and analyze financial data.
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting activities, including consolidation of inputs and maintenance of planning assumptions.
- Support month-end close activities by preparing financial schedules and explaining key movements.




- Develop and maintain Excel-based financial reports and support dashboard preparation in Power BI or similar tools.
- Validate data accuracy, reconcile discrepancies between systems, and highlight exceptions for timely closure.
- Participate in reporting automation, standardization, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and business performance reviews requested by management.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills : (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related field.
- Solid understanding of P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and basic accounting concepts.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting cycles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, Lookups, and data validation
- Exposure to Power BI, SQL, or financial dashboarding tools.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills.
