The Category Advisor will be responsible for supporting strategic sourcing initiatives by analyzing procurement data, evaluating supplier performance, and identifying opportunities to optimize sourcing strategies and reduce costs. The role requires strong category management expertise, analytical capabilities, and stakeholder engagement skills to drive value creation across procurement functions. The successful candidate will leverage procurement insights, market intelligence, supplier assessments, and spend analytics to improve purchasing decisions, strengthen supplier relationships, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.





Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor procurement KPIs and supplier performance.
- Generate actionable insights through spend analysis and procurement analytics.
- Support management reporting using Power BI and other reporting tools.

Supplier Evaluation & Management
- Assess supplier capabilities, commercial competitiveness, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Support supplier selection, evaluation, and onboarding processes.
- Monitor supplier performance and recommend improvement actions.
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships.

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
- Create and manage sourcing projects within ERP systems.
- Conduct sourcing events, negotiations, and supplier discussions.
- Perform market analysis, risk analysis, and spend analysis.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and sourcing requirements.
- Support bid evaluation and commercial assessment activities.
- Drive sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.

Contract Management & Savings Delivery
- Participate in contract negotiations and supplier commercial discussions.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and value creation programs.
- Track and report procurement savings through Power BI dashboards.
- Ensure sourcing projects deliver measurable business outcomes.

Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies within procurement processes and recommend improvements.
- Support automation, digitization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in standardizing sourcing and procurement processes.

Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor contract performance and identify risks or deviations.
- Support mitigation planning and governance activities.
- Maintain adherence to procurement controls and compliance standards.
