Role Purpose The Control Tower Specialist will be responsible for driving end-to-end visibility and control of the supply chain for the Staples category, ensuring seamless coordination across order management, planning, warehousing and logistics. The role requires strong systems expertise (SAP/HANA/ECC), advanced analytics capability (Power BI, SQL, Advanced Excel, Azure) and a solid understanding of supply chain operations to enable timely, data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

- Systems & Data Management: Hands-on working knowledge and understanding of SAP- HANA and ECC modules relevant to order-to-cash and supply chain processes.
- System Interfaces: Strong understanding of system interfaces including WMS (Warehouse Management System) and TMS (Transportation Management System) to ensure smooth data flow across platforms.
- Analytics & Reporting: Expertise in Advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL and MS Azure to build, maintain and enhance reports and dashboards.
- Data Modelling: Strong understanding of building data models, reports and dashboards that enable faster and more accurate decision making across the supply chain.
- Supply Chain Domain: Sound understanding of Supply Chain, Logistics, Order Management and Planning functions to support control tower operations.
- Control Tower Operations: Monitor daily supply chain performance (order fulfilment, inventory, in-transit shipments, delivery timelines) and flag exceptions/deviations proactively.
- Issue Resolution: Identify bottlenecks and exceptions across the order-to-delivery cycle and coordinate with cross-functional teams (warehousing, transportation, planning, customer service) for timely resolution.
- MIS & Dashboards: Prepare and publish periodic MIS reports, dashboards and performance scorecards for review with stakeholders and leadership.
- Process Improvement:



Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance control tower processes, reduce turnaround time and improve service levels.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal teams and external partners (3PL/logistics vendors) to ensure adherence to SLAs and escalate deviations as needed.
- Data Accuracy & Governance: Ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems and reports; maintain documentation of processes and standard operating procedures.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Support the Control Tower Lead with ad-hoc analysis, root-cause investigations and business reviews.

Skills & Competencies

- Hands-on experience with SAP / HANA / ECC modules and system interfaces (WMS, TMS).
- Strong Proficiency in Advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL and MS Azure.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Sound knowledge of supply chain, logistics, order management and planning processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualification & Experience

- Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related discipline (MBA preferred).
- Relevant experience of 4-5 years in Control Tower / Supply Chain Operations / Logistics, preferably in a retail or FMCG environment.
- Prior exposure to the FMCG category will be an added advantage.
