About the Role

Ridhi Block Prints, a hand block-printed textile and home furnishing brand, is looking for an Store Manager to run our fabric and finished goods store — managing receipt, storage, issue, and reconciliation of raw materials (fabric, dyes, printing blocks, trims, packing material) and finished goods (bedsheets, cushion covers, curtains, table linen, quilts/dohars), with accurate, real-time ERP records at all times.

The role calls for a highly organised, detail-oriented person who takes complete ownership of stock accuracy and coordinates closely with Finance, Purchase, Production, and Merchandising/Sales/Dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Store & Inventory Management

- Manage complete day-to-day store operations — receipt, storage, identification, handling, and issue of raw materials (grey and dyed fabric, dyes/chemicals, wooden printing blocks, trims, and packing material) and finished home furnishing goods.
- Maintain accurate stock records and proper labelling/organisation by fabric type, print/design, colourway, and size; flag shortages, excess, or slow-moving inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and discipline within the store, including proper storage conditions for fabric to prevent moisture damage, colour fading, and pest/insect damage.

2. Inward & Outward Material Control

- Verify incoming fabric, dyes/chemicals, and trims against POs, invoices, and challans — checking quantity, quality, shade, and print/design accuracy — and resolve discrepancies with Purchase, Production, and Finance.
- Ensure proper documentation and authorisation for all material receipts, issues to the printing/stitching floor, transfers, and outward dispatch of finished goods to buyers/exporters.

3. ERP & System Management

- Maintain accurate,

real-time inventory records in the ERP for grey fabric, dyed/printed fabric, trims, packing material, and finished goods — receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and returns.
- Regularly reconcile physical stock with system records, resolve discrepancies, and work with Finance and IT to improve ERP processes.

4. Stock Verification & Control

- Conduct regular physical stock counts, cycle counts, and scheduled audits across raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Investigate discrepancies immediately and implement processes to minimise losses, fabric/print wastage, damage (colour bleeding, print defects, moisture damage), and pilferage.

5. Coordination with Departments

- Coordinate with Finance on inventory records and reconciliations, Purchase on fabric/dye/trim deliveries, Production (printing, dyeing, stitching, and finishing units) on material needs and issue schedules, and Merchandising/Sales/Dispatch on outward movement and order fulfilment, including export shipments where applicable.

6. Team Management

- Supervise store staff, allocate responsibilities, and ensure discipline and consistent adherence to store processes.
- Train the team on fabric and material handling, documentation, and ERP procedures.

7. Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare regular reports on stock position, discrepancies, damaged/reject-grade materials,

slow-moving inventory, and reconciliation for the Finance Head and management.

Required Experience & Skills:

- 2–4+ years managing a store/warehouse independently, with strong inventory control and stock reconciliation knowledge.
- Experience with ERP/software-based inventory systems (strongly preferred) and good knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a team, coordinate across departments, and identify and correct discrepancies.

Preferred:

- Experience in textile, hand/block printing, garment, home furnishing, or handicraft manufacturing/export units.
- Familiarity with fabric types (cotton, cambric, voile, mulmul, etc.), dyes/chemicals, and home furnishing products such as bedsheets, cushion covers, curtains, table linen, and quilts/dohars.
- Experience managing raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, with knowledge of inventory audits, basic accounting concepts, and MIS reporting.

You Are:

- Disciplined, systematic, and take complete ownership of stock accuracy and store operations.
- Reliable and trustworthy, understanding that inventory accuracy — of fabric, trims, and finished furnishing products — is critical to the business's financial health.
- Comfortable working closely with the Finance Head and other departments.

Important

This is a full time, on-site position.

The Store Manager is expected to be present at the workplace 6 days a week, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and take complete ownership of the store's daily operations, inventory accuracy, documentation, and coordination with the Finance Head and other departments.
