We are looking for an experienced O&M; Site Technician to manage the day-to-day operation, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and performance monitoring of a ~2.21 MW ground-mounted solar plant comprising seven generating blocks. The role requires strong hands-on experience in solar plant O&M;, troubleshooting of DC and HT systems, inverter monitoring, electrical safety, and site documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and monitor all seven generating blocks and maintain daily generation, PR, CUF, and irradiance records.

- Monitor Sungrow and other string inverters through OEM monitoring portals and site logs.

- Track inverter alarms, derating, communication faults, transformer loading, temperatures, and 11 kV VCB/RMU status.

- Monitor and maintain generation and export meter records.

- Attend and rectify inverter, DC, string, communication, and grid-related faults.

- Troubleshoot string-level underperformance using I-V curve testing and thermography.

- Identify faulty modules, hotspots, connectors, and other electrical issues.

- Attend HT-side breakdowns, VCB/RMU trips, protection operations, and transformer alarms safely.

- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimise generation loss and maintain plant availability.

- Follow LOTO, PPE, work-at-height, HT switching, and Permit-to-Work safety procedures.

- Conduct and maintain records of electrical safety, earthing, and other required testing.

- Maintain daily generation, PM, breakdown/RCA, cleaning, vegetation, consumables, attendance, and calibration records.

- Support monthly performance and incident reporting.





- Maintain adequate stock of spares and consumables and raise indents in advance.

- Coordinate with inverter OEMs, DISCOM/DGVCL, and other external agencies whenever required.

- Guide 1–2 helpers/labour and independently manage site activities.

Requirements

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or equivalent qualification.

- Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on experience in ground-mounted or utility-scale solar plant O&M.;

- Good working knowledge of Sungrow or equivalent string inverters.

- Experience with step-up transformers, DCDBs, 11 kV VCB/RMU and HT systems.

- Ability to read SLDs, layout drawings, protection schemes, and cable schedules.

- Hands-on knowledge of multimeter, clamp meter, Megger/IR tester, earth tester, thermal camera, and I-V curve tracer.

- Familiarity with inverter OEM monitoring portals and basic reporting/data entry.

- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.

- Good understanding of HT electrical safety and site documentation.
