Division of Schneider Electric has a great opportunity, to join our EcoStruxure Software Business as an Electrical Engineer at our R&D; Design Hub in Bangalore, India.

In this role you will work closely with other R&D; engineers and be accountable to develop electronic hardware for embedded systems; to ensure adequate performance, quality, and reliability of the product; as well as compliance to specific ratings, product specifications, agency, and standards requirements.





The ideal candidate for this position has a demonstrated interest in microprocessor-based systems and is capable of performing highly technical work. You are a team player who possesses organizational and communication skills and has strong problem-solving abilities in dealing with both electrical and mechanical equipment.

This position reports to the EcoStruxure Software Business, Secure Power Division of Schneider Electric.

Essential Functions

- Lead product electronic design specifications in the cross-functional team including Offer Management, Industrialization, Firmware, Software, Mechanical and our other R&D; colleagues
- Take ownership of hardware development through specification and selection of electrical and electronic components, testing and validation, both on bench and in systems
- Develop electrical schematics
- Regulatory compliance and maintenance of embedded systems and components
- Perform integration of subsystems and subassemblies in conjunction with recent design, product improvement, field, and production problem/resolution
- Sustaining engineering includes finding and testing new components to end-of-life and unavailability issues.
- Provide support for troubleshooting all system related issues
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration (purchasing, manufacturing, quality assurance, mechanical,



test, etc.) and be involved with new product development process
- Support the team in knowledge management and continuous improvement activities
- Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
- Maintains an up-to-date thorough knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines from an accredited university or institute of technology.
- Experience in the elaboration of electronic and electrical schematics and have familiarity with electronics agency and standard requirements.
- Three or more years of embedded microprocessor circuit design and related areas. (Experience in designing embedded microprocessor solutions)
- You are capable of working in an independent manner, an eager learner, and not afraid to tackle new things.

- You are Fluent in the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You have a strong aptitude for understanding and communicating technical requirements
- You possess the ability to recognize and extract the relevant requirements from complex documents
- You value attention to detail, thoroughness, and information management.
- You are available for some limited foreign and domestic travel as needed (2-3 times per annum typically)
