We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled SQL Server DBA / SQL Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and SSDT.

This role involves database administration, SQL development, ETL processes, report development, production support, troubleshooting, and supporting legacy .NET applications.

Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase Administration

- Administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across development, QA, and production environments.
- Ensure database availability, performance, security, backup/restore, and maintenance.
- Manage database users, roles, permissions, authentication, and security controls.
- Support high availability and disaster recovery activities.

SQL Development &

• Performance Optimization

- Develop and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and CTEs.
- Analyze and optimize slow-running queries and database workloads.
- Perform indexing, query tuning, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and database bottlenecks.

SSIS &

• ETL

- Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SSIS packages.
- Monitor scheduled ETL processes and data integration jobs.
- Investigate and resolve data load failures and data discrepancies.
- Support data migration and integration activities.

SSRS Reporting
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain SSRS reports.
- Create parameterized, tabular, matrix, drill-down, and drill-through reports as required.
- Develop and optimize report datasets and queries.
- Troubleshoot report performance, data issues, subscriptions, and scheduled report delivery.
- Work with business and technical teams to understand reporting requirements.

SSAS Support
- Support SSAS Multidimensional Cubes and/or Tabular Models.
- Monitor processing jobs, data refreshes, and scheduled operations.
- Troubleshoot issues related to data processing and availability.

SSDT &

• Database Deployment

- Develop and maintain SSDT database projects.




- Manage schema changes, database deployments, and version control.
- Support CI/CD-based database deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth database releases.

Application &

• Production Support

- Support legacy applications built using .NET technologies.
- Troubleshoot SQL Server, database connectivity, application integration, and data-related issues.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents.
- Manage SQL Agent jobs, scheduled processes, alerts, and database monitoring.

Migration &

• Modernization

- Participate in database upgrades, migrations, patching, and deployment activities.
- Support modernization initiatives involving legacy SQL Server applications.
- Document database architecture, application dependencies, interfaces, and operational procedures.

Required Skills &

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in SQL Server DBA and SQL Development.
- Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Excellent T-SQL skills, including stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, CTEs, indexing, and query optimization.
- Strong experience with SSIS development and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining SSRS reports.
- Experience with SSAS, including Multidimensional and/or Tabular Models.
- Experience with SSDT Database Projects and database deployments.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience with backup, restore, database security, maintenance, and HA/DR.
- Experience supporting production and legacy applications.
- Understanding of .NET application and database integration, preferably C#, ADO.NET, or Entity Framework.
- Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, or other source-control and CI/CD tools.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure SQL or other cloud database services.
- Knowledge of Power BI and modern reporting tools.
- Experience with database migration and modernization projects.
- Familiarity with automated database deployments and DevOps practices.
