As a Senior Software Engineer – ABAP Fiori, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of SAP applications using ABAP, SAP Fiori, and UI5 technologies. This role requires strong hands‑on expertise in ABAP Objects, SAP Gateway, and Fiori/UI5 frameworks, along with responsibility for reviewing designs, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring solution quality. You will work closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable, high‑performance SAP solutions aligned with SAP best practices and enterprise architecture standards.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Delivery and Execution

- Design, develop, and enhance complex ABAP and Fiori/UI5 applications aligned with business and technical requirements
- Drive technical solution design and provide input during requirement and design discussions
- Develop and optimize OData services to support Fiori/UI5 applications
- Perform unit testing, advanced debugging, and defect resolution across development and QA environments
- Review and approve technical specifications, code, and design artifacts produced by the team
- Perform root‑cause analysis of complex production issues and implement sustainable fixes

Support and Enablement

- Provide post go live support including performance tuning, enhancements, and optimizations
- Mentor Software Engineers and guide junior developers on ABAP and Fiori/UI5 best practices
- Participate in code reviews, quality assurance checks, and technical governance forums
- Maintain and improve technical documentation, coding standards, and development guidelines
- Stay current with SAP product updates, Fiori/UI5 framework changes, and emerging SAP development practices





Education and Certifications

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline is required
- SAP Certified Development Associate – ABAP with SAP NetWeaver and SAP Fiori/UI5 or SAP S/4HANA development certifications is preferred

Required Experience

- 2-7 years of hands‑on experience in SAP ABAP development with solid exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5
- Extensive experience with reports (classical, ALV), module pool programming, BAPIs, BAdIs, enhancements, and user exits
- Experience contributing to end‑to‑end SAP implementations or large‑scale support and enhancement programs
- Exposure to enterprise or global SAP environments, including collaboration with multiple functional teams

Essential skills

- Advanced proficiency in ABAP Objects with strong understanding of performance‑optimized coding practices
- Hands‑on expertise in SAP Fiori/UI5 development including standard and custom applications
- Strong experience with OData service development using SAP Gateway
- Proficiency in SmartForms, Adobe Forms, IDocs, RFCs, and interfaces
- Solid understanding of SAP Data Dictionary, debugging tools, and performance analysis techniques
- Exposure to SAP Workflow, Web Dynpro, or SAP Gateway extensions
- Experience working closely with SAP functional modules such as SD, MM, FI, or PP
- Ability to review technical designs, ensure coding standards, and guide development best practices

Desired skills

- Experience with SAP HANA‑optimized development including code pushdown and CDS views
- Familiarity with Agile delivery models and modern version control practices
- Experience supporting SAP ECC to S/4HANA transition initiatives
