Role Description The Social Studies Teacher for Grades 9 and 10 will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school curriculum and educational standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing lesson plans, teaching core Social Studies and World History topics, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will create an inclusive classroom environment, use a variety of instructional strategies, integrate projects and discussions, and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives.

Additional duties include maintaining accurate records,



communicating with families as needed, participating in staff meetings, and contributing to school events. This is a full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Social Studies and World History, with the ability to make content relevant and accessible for Grades 9 and 10.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including designing assessments and learning activities aligned with educational standards.
- Experience teaching at the Middle School or early Secondary level, preferably in CBSE or similar educational boards.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Political Science, Education, or a related field.
- Effective classroom management skills and the ability to foster an inclusive, learner-centered environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues, students, and families.
- Comfort with basic educational technology and digital teaching tools.
- Prior school teaching experience and relevant teaching certifications are highly desirable.
