Who are we?
Krones Digital Solutions India (KDSI) is a subsidiary of the Krones Group and is a part of the Krones.Digital community. The Krones Group, headquartered in Neutraubling, Germany, plans, develops, and manufactures machines and complete lines for the fields of process technology, bottling, and packaging, plus intralogistics and recycling. It is quite likely that the bottle of water, cola or juice in your hand is manufactured in one of the Krones lines!
KDSI was created in 2023 as the Technology Competence Centre for Krones.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a skilled simulation engineer with hands-on experience in fluid simulation and the ANSYS environment. The ideal candidate will have exposure to plasma simulation and multidisciplinary physical modelling in CFD, thermal-flow analysis, and physics-based modelling, along with the ability to collaborate across global teams to build and refine digital twin models for complex plasma systems.
What are you in for?
Your responsibilities would include but are not limited to the below: -
- Build, together with colleagues in India and Germany, a physics-based digital twin of the plasma system
- Run calculations and fluid simulations in the ANSYS environment to better understand system behaviour, deviations, and physical interactions
- Support the evaluation of design and process alternatives by comparing simulation-based scenarios
- Work closely with the central simulation specialists and the international coating team to align assumptions, models, and interpretation of results
- Document model logic, input assumptions, and results in a reusable way for future development loops.
What is in it for you?
You are a part of a brand-new organization with a clean slate and a mission to build a people-first culture. You work beyond borders with international teams seeking and imparting learning through shared and individual experiences.
What are we looking for?
- Expertise in modelling gas flow, heat transfer, and plasma behavior using tools such as ANSYS
- Strong working knowledge of ANSYS tools, especially for fluid simulation and multiphysics analysis
• Knowledge of plasma physics, plasma-material interactions, ionization processes, and coating deposition mechanisms for accurate simulation of plasma coating systems
- Practical experience in CFD, thermal-flow behaviour, and physically based model building
- Ideally familiar with plasma simulation or at least able to work into plasma-related modelling with experts
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or similar tools for simulation automation, data processing, model validation, optimization
- Able to structure simulation models, assumptions, and result interpretation in a transparent way
- Comfortable collaborating across simulation, process, automation, and application domains
- Positive communication skills for close cooperation with teams in India and Germany
