Experience
8–12+ years of overall IT/Security/ServiceNow experience, with 4–6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow SecOps experience and demonstrated team/project leadership.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow SecOps Manager to lead the design, implementation, enhancement, and operations of ServiceNow Security Operations solutions. The role will own the SecOps platform roadmap, delivery governance, team management, security-tool integrations, automation, and continuous improvement across Security Incident Response (SIR), Vulnerability Response (VR), Threat Intelligence, and related Security Operations capabilities .
The manager will work closely with Cybersecurity, SOC, IT Operations, Risk & Compliance, Infrastructure, Application teams, and senior stakeholders to deliver scalable and automated security workflows.
Key Responsibilities: ServiceNow SecOps Leadership
- Own the ServiceNow SecOps platform strategy, roadmap, governance, and continuous improvement.
- Lead implementation and enhancement of Security Incident Response (SIR) and Vulnerability Response (VR) .
- Drive security incident lifecycle management, including triage, investigation, assignment, escalation, remediation, and closure.
- Manage vulnerability ingestion, normalization, prioritization, remediation, SLA tracking, and reporting.
- Evaluate and implement new ServiceNow SecOps capabilities and platform releases.
- Ensure alignment between ServiceNow SecOps processes and enterprise cybersecurity operating models.
Team & Delivery Management
- Lead and mentor ServiceNow developers, administrators, architects, business analysts, and SecOps SMEs.
- Allocate resources across multiple projects and production-support activities.
- Establish development standards, code-review practices, release processes, and platform governance.
- Manage project timelines, risks, dependencies, budgets, and delivery quality.
- Provide technical direction and resolve complex platform and integration issues.
- Support hiring, capability development, performance management, and training.
Integrations & Automation
- Lead integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise security platforms such as:
- SIEM
- SOAR
- EDR/XDR
- Vulnerability scanners
- Threat intelligence platforms
- Identity and access management systems
- CMDB/discovery platforms
- Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, Import Sets, Transform Maps , and automated data flows.
- Drive security orchestration, automated enrichment, notifications, assignment, and remediation workflows.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual SOC processes through ServiceNow automation.
Current enterprise SecOps roles commonly call for integrations with platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Qualys, Tenable, and Rapid7. Platform Development & Governance
- Oversee ServiceNow configuration and customization using:
- Ensure platform solutions follow ServiceNow best practices and are upgrade-safe.
- Maintain platform security, role-based access, data segregation, performance, and scalability.
- Establish standards for source control, testing, deployment, and release management.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with CISO/SOC leadership, IT Operations, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and business stakeholders.
- Translate cybersecurity requirements into ServiceNow solutions.
- Present platform roadmaps, KPIs, security posture, risks, and delivery status to senior management.
- Manage vendors and implementation partners where applicable.
- Lead workshops, requirements gathering, solution design,
and executive-level discussions.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong ServiceNow platform knowledge.
- Deep expertise in ServiceNow SecOps .
- Solid experience with:
- Security Incident Response
- Vulnerability Response
- Threat Intelligence
- Security Operations workflows
- CMDB
- ITSM
- ServiceNow scripting: JavaScript / Glide APIs .
- Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
- REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
- MID Server and enterprise integrations.
- Understanding of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and security operations processes.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK;, NIST, ISO 27001 or similar security frameworks.
- Good understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise change/release management.
Preferred Skills
- ServiceNow IRM/GRC experience.
- ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM experience.
- Experience with Unified Security Exposure Management (USEM).
- Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics and dashboards.
- Experience with cloud security platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- CI/CD and DevOps experience.
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
- Experience managing global or geographically distributed teams.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise ServiceNow implementations.

ServiceNow's own current management-level Expert Services role also values ServiceNow certifications/accreditations and leadership across SecOps/IRM workflows.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline . A master's degree or relevant security/technology qualification is an advantage.
