Role Description The ServiceNow SecOps and Vulnerability Response Developer is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining ServiceNow Security Operations and Vulnerability Response modules. Day-to-day work includes implementing workflows, integrations, and automation for incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence, ensuring that security processes are standardized and efficient. The role involves collaborating with security, infrastructure, and development teams to capture requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and support ongoing enhancements in ServiceNow.
The developer will monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, optimize configurations, and maintain documentation for implemented solutions.
This position also contributes to best practices, security compliance, and continuous improvement of the organization’s SecOps capabilities.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with ServiceNow development, particularly in Security Operations and Vulnerability Response modules, including scripting, workflows, and integrations.
- Knowledge of security operations processes such as incident response, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and security event handling.
- Proficiency in web technologies and programming/scripting languages relevant to ServiceNow (e.g., JavaScript, HTML/CSS, REST APIs).
- Understanding of IT service management (ITSM) principles, configuration management, and change management within enterprise environments.
- Ability to gather and analyze requirements, design scalable solutions, and produce clear technical and process documentation.
- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative setting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (SecOps), or security certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP) are a plus.
