We are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer / Web Development Specialist who can take ownership of complex web development projects from requirements gathering through development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with WordPress, PHP, MySQL, ACF, WooCommerce, JavaScript, REST APIs, performance optimization, and server management , along with an understanding of modern technologies such as React, Next.js, and headless WordPress .

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, building scalable websites, working directly with clients, and leveraging AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and development workflows.

Responsibilites

- Develop and maintain custom WordPress websites using custom themes, plugins, ACF, and WooCommerce.
- Build responsive, accessible, secure, and high-performance websites.
- Optimize websites for Core Web Vitals, page speed, technical SEO, and UX .
- Develop custom post types, taxonomies, custom fields, and complex content architectures.
- Build custom WordPress functionality and third-party integrations.
- Integrate APIs, CRMs, payment gateways, marketing platforms, analytics tools, and other external services.
- Manage hosting environments, deployments, backups, security, DNS, SSL, and server-level troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve complex WordPress, PHP, MySQL, plugin, server, and performance issues.
- Perform ongoing maintenance, bug fixing, optimization, and feature development.
- Work with Git and modern development/deployment workflows .
- Gather requirements and work directly with clients to recommend practical technical solutions.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other technical stakeholders.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Kiro AI,



Cursor, GitHub Copilot , or similar tools for development, debugging, research, documentation, and problem-solving.
- Work with modern web technologies including React, Next.js, REST APIs, and headless WordPress .

Required Skills & Experience

- Solid professional experience with WordPress development .
- Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL .
- Hands-on experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) .
- Experience developing and customizing WooCommerce websites.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery .
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS .
- Experience with Git and version control .
- Strong understanding of website performance and Core Web Vitals .
- Good understanding of technical SEO and SEO-friendly development .
- Experience with hosting environments and server troubleshooting.
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations .
- Understanding of React, Next.js, and headless WordPress .
- Solid debugging, problem-solving, and independent research skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project managers, designers, and technical stakeholders.
- Strong requirement-gathering and client consultation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools.

Nice to have

- React / Next.js development.
- Headless WordPress experience.
- Laravel or other PHP frameworks.
- Cloud hosting and server management.
- Cloudflare, CDN, caching, and DNS configuration.
- Docker / containerized deployments.
