About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Technical Engineer – BESS with strong experience in Commercial & Industrial (C&I;) energy storage solutions. The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, performing BESS sizing, developing technical solutions, and working closely with sales, engineering, and customers to deliver optimized energy storage systems.Key Responsibilities

- Understand C&I; customer requirements, load profiles, energy consumption, and backup requirements.
- Perform BESS sizing based on load analysis, peak demand, backup duration, energy requirements, and application.
- Develop technical proposals and system configurations for BESS projects.
- Support the sales team with technical discussions, customer presentations, and solution design.
- Conduct technical discussions/site assessments with customers and understand their electrical infrastructure.
- Prepare system sizing calculations, technical specifications, and relevant documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams for system design and implementation.
- Evaluate technical feasibility, system performance, and project requirements.
- Support preparation of Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), BOMs, and technical proposals.
- Stay updated on BESS technologies, battery systems, PCS/inverters, EMS,



and C&I; energy storage applications.
- Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in BESS, energy storage, solar, power systems, or a related electrical engineering domain.
- Strong understanding of Commercial & Industrial (C&I;) applications.
- Hands-on experience with BESS sizing and system configuration.
- Good understanding of battery technologies, PCS/inverters, EMS, and energy storage architecture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand electrical load profiles and energy consumption data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact confidently with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong technical documentation and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics / Power Systems or a related field.

Valuable to Have
- Experience with C&I; BESS projects and commercial/industrial energy storage solutions.
- Knowledge of hybrid solar + BESS systems.
- Understanding of ROI/TCO calculations for energy storage projects.
- Experience with AutoCAD or electrical design tools.
- Knowledge of grid-connected and backup BESS applications.
