About the RoleAs a Senior Systems Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency, stability and availability of complex application systems. You will work across incident management, application monitoring, debugging and DevOps practices to maintain reliable systems and deliver effective solutions for clients.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to continuous improvement and help drive operational excellence while mentoring less-experienced engineers.

Job Responsibilities

- Work with incident management processes and tools, application monitoring metrics and reporting to identify issues and take corrective actions.
- Understand complex application architectures and troubleshoot business-impacting issues effectively.
- Follow engineering standards and best practices to improve system stability, availability and operational efficiency.
- Apply Continuous Delivery practices to support, evolve and deliver high-quality software.
- Use logging and monitoring techniques for alerting, incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
- Use DevOps tools and practices to deploy, operate and maintain applications.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and system reliability.
- Mentor less-experienced engineers through technical guidance and leadership.
- Apply modern technology practices and approaches to solve client problems.

Job QualificationsTechnical Skills
- 5+ years of experience with programming technologies such as Node.js and React.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Understanding of application architectures including monolithic, N-tier, layered, microservices and serverless architectures.
- Strong debugging and triaging skills with the ability to troubleshoot application issues effectively.
- Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL, MySQL or PostgreSQL.




- Experience with Docker and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure Pipelines.
- Experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases.
- Experience with application monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus or Grafana.
- Ability to analyze monitoring metrics, generate reports and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, well-tested bug fixes and enhancements to existing codebases.
- Comfortable working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
