Position Summary:

- The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the operational stability, security, lifecycle management and continuous improvement of Visy’s Windows Server and hybrid identity infrastructure.
- The role provides technical leadership across Active Directory, Windows Server, Entra ID and supporting infrastructure platforms, ensuring services remain secure, scalable and aligned with business requirements.
- The role leads infrastructure initiatives including security uplift programs, platform modernisation, lifecycle management and end-of-support migrations. The engineer works closely with application, security, service provider and business teams to provide technical guidance, resolve complex issues and drive continuous improvement.
- The position also supports team capability development through mentoring, knowledge sharing and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:





- Own the operational performance, security and lifecycle management of Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Administer and maintain hybrid identity services, including Active Directory, Entra ID and directory synchronization.
- Provide Level 3 support and technical leadership for complex infrastructure and identity-related issues.
- Lead infrastructure projects including platform upgrades, security remediation and end-of-support migrations.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardization and operational best practices.
- Identify and remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities in collaboration with Cyber Security and technology teams.
- Support Azure and VMware platforms to ensure availability, performance and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain technical standards, documentation and support processes.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to team capability development.
- Ensure compliance with Visy security, governance and change management requirements.

Mandatory Experience & Qualifications:

- 6–8+ years of Microsoft infrastructure engineering experience within enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Active Directory, Windows Server and hybrid identity solutions.
- Experience delivering infrastructure upgrades, migrations and security improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience working within structured service and change management environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

- Microsoft or Azure certifications.
- VMware administration experience.
- PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
- Experience supporting Operational Technology (OT) environments.
