Position: Power BI L2/L3 Support Engineer / Power BI Production Support Specialist

Experience: 5?10+ years

Engagement: Enterprise Application Production Support

Technology: Microsoft Power BI, Power BI Service, Power Query, DAX, SQL, Microsoft Fabric/Azure as applicable

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Power BI L2/L3 Support Engineer to provide production support for enterprise Power BI applications, reports, dashboards, datasets, and semantic models.

The resource will be responsible for troubleshooting complex production issues, resolving report and data refresh failures, supporting Power BI Service administration, investigating performance issues, managing security and access, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing approved fixes.

The candidate will work closely with L1 support, business users, data engineering teams, Databricks/Azure teams, database teams, application teams, infrastructure teams,



and Microsoft/vendor support to ensure high availability and reliability of enterprise reporting solutions.

- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Experience supporting Power BI in an enterprise production environment.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Power BI Service
- Workspaces
- Semantic Models/Datasets
- Reports and Dashboards
- Data Refresh
- Gateways
- Deployment Pipelines
- Power Query
- DAX
- Row-Level Security

- Robust SQL skills.
- Experience troubleshooting Power BI refresh and connectivity issues.
- Experience with Power BI performance optimization.
- Experience with ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent ticketing tools.
