Role Description The Senior Security Developer role is a full time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security features across VirtualMaze’s map-based, GPS tracking, and fleet management platforms. Day-to-day work includes performing threat modeling, secure code reviews, and vulnerability assessments; building and integrating authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms; and collaborating with development teams to embed security best practices throughout the software lifecycle.

Developer will create and maintain security policies and standards, automate security testing in CI/CD pipelines, and respond to security incidents with clear remediation plans.



The role also involves mentoring team members on secure development practices and staying current with emerging security trends, tools, and regulatory requirements relevant to mobility and location-based services.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in secure software development, including experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript) and frameworks commonly used for web and mobile applications.
- Hands-on expertise in application security practices such as threat modeling, secure code review, vulnerability assessment, and familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and secure design principles.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization standards (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT), encryption, key management, and secure API design for distributed and cloud-based systems.
- Experience integrating security tools into development workflows, including SAST/DAST tools, dependency scanning, and security automation in CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of network and infrastructure security concepts, including secure configuration, hardening, logging, monitoring, and incident response for production environments.
- Background in data privacy and compliance considerations relevant to mobility, GPS, and user location data (e.g., secure data storage, access controls, and retention policies).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, translate security requirements into technical solutions, and mentor others on secure coding and best practices.
