– Senior Schematic Design Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Schematic Design Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in automotive and/or IoT embedded hardware design.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in hardware schematic design, component selection, power architecture, high-speed interfaces, EMI/EMC, signal integrity, and board-level validation. Experience in EV, power electronics, automotive infotainment, instrument clusters, telematics, or ECU development will be an added advantage.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and validating complex hardware schematics for automotive and embedded electronic products while working closely with PCB layout, firmware, mechanical, testing, and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex hardware schematics for microprocessor- and microcontroller-based electronic products.
- Develop schematic solutions involving:
o DDR3 / DDR4
o NAND / eMMC / SD o USB o QSPI o CAN / LIN / UART o MIPI o LVDS o RGB o Cellular / 4G LTE o GNSS o Other high-speed interfaces
- Define and implement appropriate power architecture, power sequencing, grounding, protection, and filtering strategies.
- Perform component selection based on electrical, environmental, reliability, cost, and availability requirements.
- Perform component derating, worst-case analysis, and BOM preparation.
- Consider EMI/EMC, signal integrity (SI), and power integrity (PI)
requirements during schematic design.
- Review schematics for design correctness, manufacturability, reliability, and compliance with applicable automotive standards.
- Work closely with PCB layout engineers to ensure appropriate high-speed routing, impedance control, grounding, power distribution, and thermal considerations.
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, validation, testing, manufacturing, and system engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Support prototype bring-up, board debugging, design validation, and issue resolution.
- Review test results and implement necessary schematic/design modifications.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, design notes, and validation documents.
- Manage multiple projects/tasks while meeting technical, quality, and project timelines.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience in hardware schematic design and development.
- Strong hands-on experience in automotive hardware / IoT embedded hardware.
- Strong understanding of electronic circuit design and schematic development.
- Proven experience with automotive electronics and embedded systems.
- Hands-on experience with Altium Designer – Mandatory.
- Experience with OrCAD or similar EDA tools is an added advantage.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
o DDR3 / DDR4
o NAND / eMMC / SD o USB / QSPI o CAN / LIN / UART o MIPI / LVDS / RGB o 4G LTE / Cellular o GNSS o High-speed digital interfaces
- Strong understanding of power supplies, DC-DC converters, LDOs, protection circuits, power sequencing, and power distribution.
- Solid understanding of EMI/EMC, Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), grounding, shielding, and filtering.
- Experience with component selection, derating calculations, BOM creation, and hardware validation.
- Good understanding of applicable automotive electrical/electronic standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.

Educational Qualification
B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, or a closely related discipline.
B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics/ECE is mandatory.
