Position OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Senior Network Administrator / Senior Server Administrator to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize the organization's network, server, firewall, virtualization, and backup infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Cisco networking, FortiGate firewalls, Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, Veeam Backup, network security, routing, switching, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure, maintain, monitor, and upgrade corporate network and server infrastructure.
- Administer Cisco network devices, including switches, routers, and Layer 3 infrastructure.
- Implement and troubleshoot network segmentation, routing, Layer 3 switching, VLANs, and connectivity.
- Configure and manage FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, security policies, and remote connectivity.
- Monitor network performance, availability, utilization, throughput, latency, and overall infrastructure health.
- Administer Windows Server 2019 and above, including user accounts, permissions, policies, and system configuration.
- Install, configure, and integrate new server hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Administer and support VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
- Proactively identify infrastructure issues, security vulnerabilities, and required updates.
- Implement network hardening and security best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, server, hardware, firewall, and connectivity issues.
- Manage backup and recovery infrastructure using Veeam Backup & • Replication

.
- Perform backup monitoring, restoration, disaster recovery, and recovery testing.
- Support third-party applications and infrastructure services.
- Define and maintain network/server administration policies and procedures.




- Research infrastructure technologies and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with hardware, firewall, telecom, and other infrastructure vendors.
- Provide infrastructure support during critical incidents, including after-office hours and occasional weekend maintenance.
- Maintain appropriate infrastructure documentation and operational procedures.
- Lead or coordinate infrastructure-related activities where required.
- Be available for occasional overseas travel based on business requirements.

Mandatory Technical Skills
- 5–10 years of experience in Network / Infrastructure Administration.
- Solid hands-on experience with:
- Cisco Routers & • Switches

- Routing & • Layer 3 Switching

- Network Segmentation / VLAN
- FortiGate Firewall
- Internet VPN / Remote VPN
- Windows Server 2019+
- VMware
- Microsoft Hyper-V
- Veeam Backup & • Replication

- Strong knowledge of network security and network hardening.
- Experience in server hardware installation and configuration.
- Knowledge of server monitoring, performance management, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with backup, restoration, and disaster recovery methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of Microsoft and Cisco infrastructure environments.

Preferred Skills / Certifications
- Team Lead / Infrastructure Lead experience.
- CCNA
- CCNP / CCDP
- CCIE – highly preferred.
- MCSE / MCITP
- Experience managing enterprise network and server infrastructure.
- Experience working with telecom and infrastructure vendors.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Candidate Requirements
- Bangalore-based candidates only.
- Candidate must be comfortable working 5 days from office at Electronic City, Bangalore.
- Candidate must be willing to attend a face-to-face interview in Bangalore.
- Should be comfortable providing after-office-hours / weekend support when required.
- Should be willing to travel overseas occasionally based on business requirements.
