Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Mine Planner (Base Metal) role based in Nagpur.

The Senior Mine

Planner will be responsible for developing and updating short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans for base metal operations, ensuring alignment with production targets, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing geological and geotechnical data, preparing pit designs and scheduling, optimizing equipment deployment, and coordinating closely with operations, geology, and maintenance teams. The role involves preparing reports, technical documentation, and presentations related to mine planning, as well as monitoring actual performance against plans and recommending adjustments.

The Senior Mine

Planner will also support cost optimization, resource utilization,



and continuous improvement initiatives in line with the company’s growth objectives.

Qualifications & Experiences (10 years):

- Robust mine planning and design skills, including pit optimization, sequencing, and production scheduling for base metal operations.
- Proficiency with mine planning and modeling software (e.g., Surpac, Datamine, MineSched, or similar tools) and good understanding of CAD applications.
- Solid knowledge of geology, geotechnical principles, and mineral resource/reserve estimation as they relate to open-pit or underground base metal mines.
- Experience with operational planning, equipment selection, and capacity modeling to achieve secure and efficient production targets.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, environmental standards, and statutory compliance requirements for mining operations in India.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and data-driven decision-making.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline; advanced qualifications or professional certification in mine planning are an advantage.
- Relevant experience in base metal mining, preferably in a senior or lead planning capacity, with a track record of delivering reliable mine plans.
- Willingness to work on-site in Nagpur and engage regularly with field and plant operations.
