We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer who can take ownership of projects, bring strong design thinking to the table, and ensure that the final execution matches the design intent.
The RoleAs a Senior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for independently managing the design of residential interior projects.
You will work closely with clients, junior designers, project managers, vendors and the execution team to translate client requirements into practical, aesthetically strong and commercially viable interiors.
The ideal candidate is someone who combines good design sensibility with solid execution awareness and is comfortable taking responsibility for decisions rather than simply producing drawings.
Key Responsibilities1. Design & Concept Development

- Develop interior design concepts, layouts, mood boards and material palettes.
- Create cohesive design schemes across furniture, finishes, lighting, colours and materials.

- Prepare detailed drawings for carpentry, false ceiling, electrical, lighting, flooring and other interior works.
- Prepare material specifications and design details required for execution.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated and practical to execute.
- Review drawings and designs prepared by junior designers.
- Client Management
- Act as a key design point of contact for assigned clients.
- Understand and manage client expectations throughout the project.
- Communicate design decisions, changes,
limitations and recommendations clearly.
- Handle design discussions and revisions professionally.
- Build trust with clients through responsiveness, ownership and attention to detail.
- Material & Vendor Coordination
- Select and specify materials, finishes, hardware, fittings, furniture and accessories.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to understand product availability, specifications and pricing.
- Evaluate samples and ensure materials procured match the approved design.
- Work with the procurement team to identify suitable alternatives where required without compromising design intent.
- Site & Execution Coordination
- Conduct regular site visits and monitor execution against approved designs.
- Resolve design-related site issues and provide practical solutions.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, carpenters, electricians and other execution teams.
- Identify potential execution issues early and modify designs where necessary.

- Maintain project timelines for design deliverables and client approvals.
- Coordinate dependencies between design, procurement and execution.
- Track pending design decisions and ensure timely closure.
- Take responsibility for the quality and completeness of your deliverables.
- Team Contribution
- Mentor and guide junior interior designers.
- Review and provide feedback on drawings and design work.
- Contribute to improving Antara Haus's design standards, templates and processes.
- Share knowledge of materials, vendors,
detailing and execution practices with the wider team.
What We're Looking For
- 4–7 years of relevant interior design experience, preferably in residential interiors.
- Strong understanding of residential space planning and interior detailing.
- Good knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, hardware and construction techniques.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant 3D/design software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, Enscape, V-Ray, D5 or similar.

- Is comfortable discussing design decisions directly with clients.
- Notices details that others miss.
- Can balance design ambition with budget and practicality.
- Takes ownership when something goes wrong and focuses on solving it.
- Is organised and follows through on commitments.
- Wants to build strong design expertise rather than simply produce drawings.
What You Can Expect at Antara Haus

- Exposure to the entire lifecycle of an interior project — concept, design, materials, procurement and execution.
- High degree of ownership and responsibility.
- Opportunity to work closely with the leadership team.
- A fast-paced environment where good ideas and initiative are valued.
