We’re Hiring: Senior Front-End Engineer – Design Systems

STASX Consulting is looking for an experienced Senior Front-End Engineer to support a long-term remote digital transformation engagement.

This is a highly hands-on engineering role for someone who has built scalable component libraries and enterprise design systems—not a primarily visual or UX design position.

What you’ll be working on:

- Building reusable, production-ready components using React and TypeScript
- Developing and maintaining design tokens and shared UI foundations
- Aligning Figma libraries and variables with front-end implementation
- Creating accessible, responsive components aligned with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA
- Maintaining Storybook documentation and implementation guidance
- Improving component testing, versioning, packaging and release workflows
- Supporting design-system adoption across multiple product teams
- Collaborating with designers, developers, product owners and accessibility specialists

What we’re looking for:

- 5+ years of modern front-end development experience
- 3+ years of recent experience building or maintaining design systems or component libraries
- Advanced experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, HTML and CSS




- Strong knowledge of design tokens and Figma-to-code workflows
- Experience with Storybook or a similar component documentation platform
- Practical accessibility implementation and testing experience
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, npm packages and component versioning
- Solid communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

Experience with Vue.js, monorepos, open-source projects or highly regulated environments will be advantageous.

Engagement details:

- Remote
- Availability required during 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pacific Time
- Expected start: Late September 2026
- Long-term engagement
- Independent contractors are welcome
