About the Role

We are looking for a System Operations Engineer to manage and monitor IT infrastructure, servers, backups, storage, and day-to-day system operations. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with RHEL/Linux systems and backup solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and monitor Linux/RHEL and Windows infrastructure.
- Handle regular backup activities for databases, logs, network devices, and firewalls.
- Work with Veeam Backup and EMC Networker solutions.
- Create and manage backup policies and ensure successful backup completion.
- Perform data restoration and recovery whenever required.
- Manage server storage and disk space, including large-scale data.
- Handle SFTP management and user/domain creation.
- Monitor backup logs and production systems on a daily basis.
- Manage incidents and service requests through JIRA or other IT service management tools.




- Monitor system performance and ensure minimum downtime.
- Support data centre verification and infrastructure-related activities.
- Work in night shifts to monitor production systems and respond to critical issues.
- Prepare weekly reports on system performance, incidents, and improvements.

Required Skills

- 3+ years of experience in System Administration / IT Infrastructure / System Operations.
- Hands-on experience with RHEL/Linux is mandatory.
- Experience with Veeam and/or EMC Networker backup solutions.
- Positive understanding of backup, restoration, storage, and server management.
- Experience with Windows Domain/Active Directory.
- Knowledge of SFTP and user access management.
- Experience with JIRA or other IT service management tools.
- Comfortable working in a production support and night-shift environment.
