Role Description The Senior Electrical Design Engineer – MEP will lead the design, development, and coordination of electrical systems within building and infrastructure projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, requiring close collaboration with multidisciplinary MEP and BIM teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing electrical design calculations, load schedules, single line diagrams, and layouts for power distribution, lighting, and low current systems.

The role involves ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, reviewing shop drawings, performing technical evaluations, and supporting value engineering efforts. The engineer will also guide junior team members, coordinate with clients and contractors, and contribute to project planning, documentation,



and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, including Electricity and Power Distribution, with the ability to apply them to complex building services projects.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for MEP systems, including load calculations, cable sizing, equipment selection, and system layouts.
- Experience in Electrical Engineering for commercial, residential, and industrial projects, with understanding of relevant national and international codes and standards.
- Ability to coordinate electrical designs with HVAC, Fire Fighting, ELV, and Plumbing disciplines within a BIM environment.
- Hands-on experience with design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms) and familiarity with calculation software.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Several years of progressively responsible experience in MEP electrical design, including leadership or senior-level responsibilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and site stakeholders.
- Ability to work in office in Hyderabad and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
