Role Description The Senior Design Engineer – Imos will be responsible for developing detailed millwork drawings and production files using Imos and related CAD/CAM tools, ensuring all designs are accurate, manufacturable, and aligned with project specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting architectural plans, coordinating with project managers and production teams, resolving design and fabrication issues, and optimizing layouts for efficient material usage and assembly. The role also involves reviewing drawings for quality, maintaining documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of design workflows and standards.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dera Bassi,



requiring close collaboration with manufacturing and engineering colleagues to support timely and precise project delivery.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Imos and relevant CAD/CAM software for millwork or woodworking design, with the ability to create detailed, production-ready drawings.
- Experience interpreting architectural and shop drawings, including familiarity with millwork fabrication methods, joinery, materials, and hardware.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as AWI or similar, and the ability to apply client requirements and project specifications to practical designs.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, CNC programming basics, and workflow integration between design and shop floor production.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering, production, and project management teams, including ability to clarify technical details and resolve design issues.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, architecture, or a related field; significant millwork design experience may substitute for formal education.
- Prior experience in millwork, cabinetry, or interior fit-out design at a senior or lead level is highly beneficial; exposure to North American standards and projects is an advantage.
