ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Architect to lead the design and execution of architectural projects at Vastu Vihar, Bodh Gaya. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, design sensibility, and project management capability, along with the ability to mentor junior team members and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead end-to-end architectural design, from concept development through to construction documentation and site execution.
- Prepare design proposals, drawings, 3D visualizations, and presentations for client and management review.
- Ensure all designs comply with local building bye-laws, zoning regulations, and National Building Code (NBC) standards.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other consultants to ensure integrated and buildable design solutions.
- Oversee site supervision, quality control, and construction progress to ensure alignment with approved designs.




- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation in coordination with project management teams.
- Liaise with government authorities for necessary approvals, sanctions, and statutory clearances.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and design staff, reviewing their work for quality and accuracy.
- Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and present design solutions.
- Incorporate sustainable design practices, local context, and vastu-sensitive planning principles where applicable.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognised institution; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid registration with the Council of Architecture (CoA), India.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience in architectural practice, including design and site execution.
- Proven track record of independently leading projects from design through completion.
- Experience with institutional, residential, or heritage/culturally sensitive projects is an advantage.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and rendering/visualization software.
- Robust knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and material specifications.
- Excellent design, spatial planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong project management, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for client and stakeholder interaction.
- Ability to work on-site in Bodh Gaya and manage field-level decision-making.
