Position Title : SAP IBP Supply Planning Consultant (IT)

Location : Mumbai

Position reporting to : SAP IBP (IT SCM) Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking an SAP IBP Supply Planning Consultant with strong techno-functional expertise in supply planning, capacity planning, and constraint-based planning. The role focuses on configuring and optimizing planning models to ensure effective supply chain execution.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

- Work with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams to gather requirements
- Configure and manage SAP IBP Supply Planning (SP) processes: Finite & infinite planning, Heuristics and optimizer
- Design supply planning scenarios: Constrained vs unconstrained planning, Capacity leveling and bottleneck management
- Drive: Inventory optimization strategies, Service level adherence and stock balancing
- Support: S&OP; and Supply Review cycles
- Analyze: Supply shortages, excess inventory, capacity issues
- Conduct RCA for production losses and planning inefficiencies

Technical Responsibilities

- Configure:



Supply Planning models, heuristics, optimizer profiles
- Maintain: Planning Areas, Key Figures, Master Data
- Design: Key figure calculations and alerts
- Work with: IBP Excel Add-in for simulation & scenario planning
- Coordinate with Integration team for Master data (Location, Product, Resources), Transactional data (Stock, Orders, Capacity)
- Ensure data consistency with S/4 HANA
- Experience in developing IBP Analytics for planning insights, KPI visualization, and executive reporting.

Implementation & Support

- Participating in full IBP lifecycle implementation
- Lead: Supply Planning UAT cycles, Scenario testing & validation
- Provide hyper care and ongoing application support
- Drive continuous improvements in planning models
- Prepare training materials and conduct user sessions

Job Requirements

Required Skills

- Strong expertise in SAP IBP Supply Planning
- Good understanding of: Supply chain planning concepts (MRP, capacity planning)
- Hands-on: Heuristics and optimizer configuration
- Knowledge of: PP / MM modules, SAP ARIBA, PPDS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with SAP IBP shelf-life planning
- Hands-on experience with SAP IBP RTI framework, including configuration and monitoring of real time supply and order data integration with S/4HANA

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in FMCG / Manufacturing domain
- Exposure to: IBP Response & Supply (advanced planning), Inventory Optimization
- APICS certification preferred

Experience

- 5–10 years in SAP SCM
- Minimum 3–5 years in IBP Supply Planning
- Experience in at least 1–2 end-to-end IBP implementations
