Summary

As a Custom Software Engineer, your day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. You engage in collaborative environments that emphasize agile methodologies and modern frameworks to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software. Your work focuses on addressing unique business requirements by continuously enhancing system functionalities and performance, contributing to the overall success of projects through cutting-edge and effective software development practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems.
- Expected to perform independently, design, build, and deploy SAP Datasphere solutions and become an SME.
- Must be able to define and build Data Products within BDC.
- Experienced in working on Native HANA/Cloud functionalities, building calculation views, procedures, and functions.
- Support product owners, managers, and architects in technical discussions.
- Translate business requirements into technical data models, pipelines, and semantic layers.
- Integrate SAP Datasphere with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for real-time visualization.




- Develop and maintain data flows, connections, and data spaces.
- Implement data ingestion from SAP systems (S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, ECC) and external sources (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
- Configure remote tables, replication flows, and data federation for hybrid architectures.
- Create logical/physical data models, star schemas, and entity relationships.
- Build semantic models for business-friendly reporting and self-service analytics.
- Collaborate with integration teams for SAP BTP, SAP HANA Cloud, and third-party systems.
- Support data migration and transformation from legacy warehouses to SAP Datasphere.
- Work on cloud-native development for microservices architectures.
- Good to have knowledge of S/4HANA.
- Work with the Connectivity Framework's Scrum team, interact with global development teams from other components, and interact with the central architects of the SAP Datasphere product team to support architecture and ensure that state-of-the-art architecture guidelines and product standards are followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Maintain and improve existing software.
