Sales Merchandiser – Contemporary Trade

Location: Bangalore (Onsite)

Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month

Job Summary The Merchandiser – Modern Trade will be responsible for ensuring effective product visibility, stock availability, and execution of brand guidelines across modern trade outlets. This role involves coordinating with store managers, monitoring sales performance, ensuring planogram adherence, and maintaining strong relationships with key channel partners to maximize sales and brand presence.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure proper product visibility and stock availability in modern trade stores.
- Execute brand guidelines consistently across all outlets.
- Coordinate with store managers to enhance product placement and visibility.
- Monitor sales performance and provide insights for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to planograms and merchandising standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners.
- Conduct regular market visits to assess competition and market trends.




- Prepare and present sales reports using MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of experience in FMCG, toys manufacturing, stationery, or cosmetics.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in Modern Trade Merchandising / FMCG / Retail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent rapport-building and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
- Valuable knowledge of the assigned territory and willingness to travel.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure.
