Minimum Qualification
- Diploma in Fire &
- Safety / Industrial Safety
- Diploma / Certificate / Post Diploma in Industrial Safety
- Candidates with relevant Fire &
- Safety or Industrial Safety qualifications will be preferred.
Job Responsibilities
1. Conduct daily safety inspections across the plant and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
2. Prepare and implement HIRA/JSA for production, maintenance, and other workplace activities.
3. Monitor and ensure proper PPE compliance among employees and contractors.
4. Support the implementation and monitoring of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
5. Monitor machine guarding and ensure compliance with machine safety requirements.
6. Monitor electrical safety, electrical panels, and related workplace practices.
7. Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness/training sessions for employees and contractors.
8. Support fire prevention activities and emergency preparedness.
9. Inspect fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and other emergency equipment regularly.
10. Conduct and assist in fire drills and emergency mock drills.
11. Maintain safety inspection, training, and compliance records.
12. Report and assist in the investigation of accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
13. Monitor contractor/vendor safety and ensure compliance with company safety procedures.
14. Ensure safe material handling, lifting, stacking, and storage practices.
15. Monitor work-at-height activities and ensure appropriate safety measures are followed.
16.
Support and monitor the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system.
17. Ensure emergency exits, evacuation routes, and access areas remain clear at all times.
18. Conduct safety induction programs for new employees and contractors.
19. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly EHS/safety reports.
20. Support statutory safety compliance, inspections, and internal/external safety audits.
21. Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, HR, and Security departments regarding safety-related issues.
22. Conduct safety rounds during all rotational shifts, as required.
23. Maintain records of incidents, corrective actions, and preventive actions (CAPA).
24. Follow up on identified safety observations and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
Must-Have Skills &
- Competencies
- Qualification in Industrial Safety / Fire &
- Safety.
- Positive knowledge of basic industrial/factory safety practices.
- Basic knowledge of fire prevention and firefighting systems.
- Basic knowledge of first aid.
- Good understanding of PPE and its proper usage.
- Basic understanding of HIRA, JSA, LOTO, PTW, and emergency procedures.
- Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
- Ability to prepare safety reports and maintain documentation.
- Gujarati/Hindi communication ability will be preferred.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and conduct safety rounds across shifts.
