Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Robotics Trainer to join the Pixel and Bolt team. You will be responsible for teaching and mentoring children in our comprehensive robotics program, delivering hands-on learning experiences that inspire curiosity, build problem-solving skills, and foster a passion for technology and engineering.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Instruction
- Deliver robotics lessons following the Pixel and Bolt curriculum across different age groups and skill levels
- Create engaging, interactive learning experiences using robotics kits, programming tools, and hands-on projects
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Provide clear, age-appropriate explanations of complex robotics and engineering concepts
- Conduct regular assessments and track student progress
Student Development
- Mentor students in building, coding, and troubleshooting robotic systems
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills through project-based learning
- Support students in developing confidence and independence in learning
- Identify and nurture high-potential students and provide guidance for advancement
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment
Program Implementation
- Prepare lesson plans and materials aligned with Pixel and Bolt curriculum standards
- Organize and maintain robotics equipment, tools, and learning materials
- Conduct practical skills assessments and hands-on evaluations
- Document student performance using observation-based assessment methods
- Participate in continuous professional development and curriculum updates
Communication & Collaboration
- Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians about student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent program quality
- Provide feedback and recommendations for curriculum improvement
- Participate in program evaluation and assessment initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; preferably a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Education, or related field
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience teaching or training children in STEM, robotics, or technology
- Technical Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of robotics platforms and kits (e.g., LEGO Mindstorms, VEX, Arduino)
- Basic programming skills (block-based coding, Python, or C++)
- Understanding of engineering principles and design thinking
- Teaching Skills:
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to children
- Experience with play-based or hands-on learning approaches
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
- Language: Fluent in English (and [local language] preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Engineering, or STEM-related field
- Certification in robotics education or STEM teaching
- Experience with multiple robotics platforms or programming environments
- Background in competitive robotics or maker education
- Ability to teach multiple subjects (Robotics, STEM, Cyber Security)
- Experience with observation-based or alternative assessment methods

Responsibilities by Student LevelPrimary Level (Classes 1-6)
- Teach fundamental robotics concepts: basic mechanics, circuits, and simple programming
- Guide students through structured projects aligned with IQ aptitude and creative design challenges
- Conduct practical skills assessments and identify high-potential students
- Support students in developing algorithmic thinking and design logic
Younger Learners (Ages 4-7)
- Use play-based, exploratory robotics activities
- Conduct observation-based assessments in natural learning settings
- Focus on foundational concepts through hands-on experimentation
- Create safe, engaging learning environments for early learners
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work in a classroom or learning center environment with appropriate learning materials and robotics equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, and move about the classroom for extended periods
- Ability to lift and manipulate robotics equipment and materials (up to 20 lbs)
- Comfortable working with technology and learning new tools/platforms
- Flexibility to conduct occasional evening or weekend sessions if required
