Role Description The Research and Development Specialist will work on-site in Vizianagaram in a full-time capacity, focusing on the development and optimization of specialty chemicals for paper and paperboard manufacturing.

Responsibilities include designing and conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing test results, and supporting scale-up from lab to plant. The role involves collaborating with production, quality, and technical teams to improve product performance, troubleshoot process issues, and introduce new formulations based on customer requirements. The Specialist will document methods and findings, prepare technical reports, and communicate results clearly to internal stakeholders.





The position also requires staying updated on industry trends and regulatory standards relevant to paper chemicals and applying this knowledge to ongoing R&D; projects.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Research and Development (R&D;) and Research skills for designing experiments and developing new or improved chemical formulations.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for interpreting data, evaluating product performance, and solving technical problems.
- Candidates should possess practical Laboratory Skills for safely conducting experiments, handling chemical materials, and maintaining lab equipment.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for preparing reports, documenting procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Paper Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in the paper, paperboard, or specialty chemicals industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of wet end chemistry, process optimization, and basic quality control principles is beneficial.
- Ability to work in office in Vizianagaram, manage multiple projects, and adhere to safety and environmental standards.
