Role Description The Registered Patent Agent role is a remote position responsible for supporting clients in the preparation, prosecution, and strategic management of patent portfolios. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and revising patent applications, conducting prior art and patentability searches, and preparing responses to office actions in collaboration with supervising attorneys or IP consultants. The role involves reviewing technical disclosures, communicating with clients to clarify inventions, and ensuring that applications meet legal and procedural requirements in relevant jurisdictions.

The Patent





Agent will also help advise on IP strategy, maintain accurate documentation, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support timely filings and effective patent protection.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Patent Preparation and drafting patent applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in handling Patent Applications and managing filing procedures.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Patent Law and Patentability standards.
- Candidates should possess experience in Patent Searching and analyzing prior art.
- Registration as a Patent Agent with a recognized patent office (e.g., USPTO or equivalent) is preferred or required, depending on jurisdiction.
- Background in a technical or scientific discipline (e.g., engineering, life sciences, computer science) enabling clear understanding of inventions.
- Strong analytical, written communication, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate effectively with diverse clients and team members.
