Key Responsibilities

- Raw Material Quality
- Inspect incoming makhana and other raw materials for quality, infestation, moisture, foreign matter and other specified parameters.
- Maintain incoming material inspection and supplier quality records.
- Ensure proper identification, segregation and status labelling of materials.
- Process Quality Control
- Monitor critical quality parameters throughout cleaning, grading, roasting/processing, seasoning and packing.
- Ensure process controls are followed as per approved SOPs and work instructions.
- Immediately report deviations and assist in corrective actions.
- Food Safety & Hygiene
- Monitor GMP, GHP, personal hygiene and sanitation practices on the production floor.
- Conduct routine hygiene inspections and maintain records.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment and processing areas.
- HACCP / FSMS Implementation
- Support implementation and monitoring of HACCP/FSMS requirements.
- Monitor CCP/OPRP parameters, where applicable, and maintain verification records.
- Participate in internal audits, inspections and food-safety improvement activities.
- Packaging & Finished Product
- Verify packaging material, coding, batch details, label information and sealing integrity.
- Conduct finished-product inspection and release as per specifications.
- Monitor storage conditions and FIFO/FEFO practices.
- Documentation
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, production quality checklists, sanitation records and deviation reports.
- Ensure all quality records are completed accurately and on time.




- Assist in preparation and maintenance of SOPs, formats and work instructions.
- Non-Conformance & CAPA
- Identify and document non-conformities.
- Support root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Follow up to ensure CAPA effectiveness.
- Testing & Sampling
- Collect raw material, in-process and finished-product samples as per the sampling plan.
- Coordinate laboratory testing for relevant microbiological, chemical and physical parameters.
- Review test reports and escalate out-of-specification results.
- Audit & Compliance
- Support customer, regulatory and third-party audits.
- Ensure audit observations are properly documented and closed within the agreed timeline.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable FSSAI, GMP, HACCP and FSMS requirements.
- Training & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct/assist in training production workers on hygiene, GMP, food safety and quality practices.
- Identify recurring quality issues and recommend practical improvements.
- Promote a strong food-safety and quality culture among production employees.

Educational Qualification

- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology,



Dairy Technology or related discipline.
- Diploma in Food Technology/Food Safety may be considered based on experience.

Experience

- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in food processing/FMCG.
- Experience in snacks, dry foods, nuts, seeds, makhana or similar processing industries will be preferred.
- Freshers with relevant food-safety knowledge may also be considered.

Working Conditions

- Primarily plant/shop-floor based.
- Requires regular interaction with production, packing, stores and maintenance teams.
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
