Role & responsibilities
- Ensure welding activities are performed as per approved WPS, PQR, and welding standards.
- Preparation of ITP / QAP as peer the customer specification.
- Review and understand the various project NDT and Welding requirement.
- Conduct in-process and final inspection of welded components and assemblies.
- Verify weld dimensions, visual quality, and compliance with drawings/specifications.
- Monitor welder qualification and maintain welder performance records.
- Control welding consumables storage, handling, and issuance.
- Educate shop floor welders to enhance the workmanship.
- Analysis welding defects and find out the root cause.
- Generate quality inspection reports and final quality dossier.
