Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Engineer role based in Pune City.

The Quality Assurance

Engineer will design, create, and execute test cases to validate software features and ensure product reliability. Daily responsibilities include performing manual testing, documenting defects, collaborating with developers and product teams to reproduce and resolve issues, and maintaining test documentation and reports. The role also involves contributing to test planning, improving QA processes, and participating in reviews to uphold quality standards across releases. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to support timely, high-quality delivery of mobile and web-based solutions.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, with a clear understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Manual Testing and Test Execution, including functional, regression, and usability testing.
- Ability to design, document, and maintain effective Test Cases and test scenarios aligned with business requirements.
- Familiarity with testing tools, defect tracking systems, and basic test reporting practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field,



or equivalent practical experience.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to testing.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with engineering, product, and operations teams.
- Exposure to mobile application testing or consumer internet products is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune City and contribute in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

1. Review business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
2. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
3. Execute manual testing across web and mobile applications to ensure product quality.
4. Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using open-source testing frameworks.
5. Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, API, and database testing.
6. Identify, document, track, and verify defects using bug tracking tools.
7. Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.
8. Investigate the root cause of issues, validate fixes, and assist users in implementing solutions.
9. Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Continuously improve QA processes, testing methodologies, and automation coverage.
11. Stay up to date with emerging testing tools, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements & Skills

1. 2.5+ years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance.
2. Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and QA methodologies.
3. Experience in preparing detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.
4. Hands-on experience with both Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
5. Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar frameworks.
6. Good knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
7. Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, etc.) for data validation.
8. Experience with defect tracking and project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
9. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
10. Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.) and security testing concepts is an added advantage.
11. Exposure to AWS/Cloud environments is a plus.
12. Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.) is preferred.
13. Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.
14. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience: 2.5+ years in Software QA.
- Education: No education gap preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and passion for delivering high-quality software.
- Experience testing enterprise SaaS, CRM, ERP, POS, or web applications will be an added advantage.
