Key Responsibilities

- Conduct inspection of incoming materials, in-process components, weldments, and finished products.

- Ensure products meet quality standards, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and specifications.

- Perform dimensional inspection using measuring instruments and quality tools.

- Monitor fabrication and welding quality, including GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, SAW, and SMAW processes.

- Check material grades, welding procedures, fit-up, weld quality, and fabrication parameters.

- Coordinate with Production and Fabrication teams to identify and resolve quality issues.

- Prepare inspection reports, quality records, NCRs, and corrective/preventive action reports.

- Ensure compliance with applicable ASME and other international quality standards.

- Support supplier quality inspection and incoming material verification.

- Assist in process improvement and reduction of rejection/rework.





- Coordinate with third-party inspectors and customers during inspections, when required.

Requirements

Experience: 14-15 Years

Qualification: DME / B.E. Mechanical

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Heavy Fabrication / Sheet Metal / Industrial Fabrication.

- Knowledge of industrial Dampers, Gates, Expansion Joints will be an advantage.

- Good understanding of different material grades and specifications.

- Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes: GMAW, GTAW, SAW, SMAW.

- Good knowledge of ASME standards and fabrication quality requirements.

- Ability to read engineering and fabrication drawings.

- Positive knowledge of inspection instruments and dimensional inspection techniques.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- NDT Level II knowledge is preferred

- Good documentation and communication skills.
