Role Overview:

The Designing Head (Project Engineering) Genset will lead the engineering design and technical solutioning for Diesel Generator (DG) and Gas Generator (GG) power systems. The role involves designing complete power plant and data center solutions, supporting sales teams during tendering, and ensuring efficient project execution aligned with client and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Engineering Design & System Integration

- Lead the design and engineering of complete power plant solutions using diesel generators, gas generator sets, and power systems.
- Develop and review electrical and mechanical system designs, including:

- Cable schedules

- Earthing systems

- Exhaust systems

- Fuel systems

- Generator cooling systems

- HT/LT electrical panels
- Design diesel storage and fuel management systems for large power installations.
- Integrate Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and green energy initiatives with generator solutions.
- Prepare Bills of Quantity (BOQ) for project costing and execution planning.

B. Technical Evaluation & Vendor Management

- Conduct technical evaluation of vendor proposals and equipment specifications.
- Prepare technical comparison sheets for vendor selection and project procurement.
- Support the project team in technical and commercial discussions with vendors.

C. Sales & Project Collaboration:

- Work closely with Sales, Project Management, and Engineering teams during the tendering and project lifecycle.
- Provide technical inputs during proposal preparation and solution design.
- Ensure engineering designs meet customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

D. Customer & Consultant Engagement

- Interact with customers, consultants, and EPC partners during the tender stage to resolve technical queries.
- Review customer requirements and propose optimized power solutions.
- Support the sales team with technical presentations and solution discussions.

E. Specialized Project Design

- Contribute to the design of Data Center power infrastructure projects.




- Support engineering solutions for Biogas-based power generation projects.

F. Technical Support & Solution Development

- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers.
- Recommend cost-effective and technically optimized solutions for complex power system requirements.

G. Execution & Internal Coordination

- Coordinate with internal teams, including Sales, Procurement, and Project Execution, to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Ensure projects are delivered within the timeline, to quality standards, and in accordance with technical specifications.

Educational Qualification

- B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience

- Minimum 18 to 20+ years of experience in genset power solutions, power plant engineering, or EPC projects
- Hands-on experience in design, engineering, and project execution

Preferred Experience:

- Experience working with consultants, EPC contractors, and large industrial clients
- Exposure to Data Center power systems or Biogas-based power generation projects
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance
