About the studio

6Hues is a fourteen-year-old architecture and interior design studio in Siliguri, working across North Bengal, Sikkim and Assam. We design luxury homes, hotels, and offices for discerning clients. We have about 15 extraordinary designers on our team, a 5,000 ft² studio in the heart of Siliguri, and we are currently expanding our team to include architects and interior designers who share our passion for uncompromising design.

The role

You will be given 1–2 projects at a time and you will own them completely. Right now that is a 60-key hotel in Pelling, Sikkim, and an 8,000 ft² bungalow in a premium township in Siliguri. We would rather you knew a building properly than juggled six of them badly. When any project reaches a stable execution stage you will move to the next major project, and you will stay with us permanently — this is not a contract tied to one job.

Your responsibilities

- The full drawing set for your project: concept, design development, GFC, and every revision after
- Briefing our structural consultant and coordinating MEP — you need to understand structure well enough to question what comes back, not just forward it
- The client relationship on your project (the principal designer and studio director will help when needed)
- Site coordination with our supervisors, and answering being responsive to execution requirements




- Your schedule, and telling us early when deliverables will slip rather than late when they already have

Qualifications / requirements

- 5–8 years in practice, B.Arch, COA registration
- At least one hotel or large hospitality project taken from concept through to construction drawings.

This is the one requirement we will not move on.

- You have run a project without daily supervision and are comfortable being the person who decides
- AutoCAD essential. Revit or SketchUp welcome.

- Willingness to travel to Pelling and Gangtok regularly, and to sites across Siliguri

What we offer

- ₹65,000 – ₹80,000 per month depending on your portfolio
- Project incentive: 1% of the project fee, paid in three parts — at GFC issue, at 50% execution, and at handover
