Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
- Lead and support the design and development of automotive interior systems, primarily:
- Instrument Panels (IP)
- Door Trims
- Interior Plastic Components
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams on design, development, validation, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Participate in technical reviews, customer discussions, and problem-solving activities.
- Ensure adherence to OEM standards, Regulations, quality requirements, and project timelines.
Talent Fulfillment & Recruitment Support
- Partner with the Practice to drive hiring and resource fulfillment activities.
- Screen and evaluate technical profiles for Interior Engineering positions.
- Conduct technical interviews and provide competency assessments for candidates.
- Recommend suitable candidates based on technical expertise, project experience, and customer requirements.
- Support workforce planning and resource allocation across projects.
TAS (Talent Acquisition Services) Coordination
- Work closely with the TAS team to communicate hiring priorities and skill requirements.
- Monitor and follow up on open requisitions and fulfillment status.
- Provide timely feedback on shortlisted candidates.
- Assist TAS in identifying niche skills and creating targeted hiring strategies.
- Ensure positions are closed within agreed timelines and quality expectations.
Customer Engagement
- Engage directly with customers to understand project requirements, skill demands, and resource needs.
- Translate customer expectations into hiring and resource fulfillment plans.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities for additional engineering services.
- Build solid customer relationships through regular communication and technical consultation.
- Act as a bridge between customers, delivery teams,
and talent acquisition teams.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Practice, Engineering Teams, HR, TAS, and Customer Stakeholders.
- Support strategic workforce planning and competency development initiatives.
- Participate in recruitment drives, technical assessments, and customer interviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in Automotive Interior Design and Development.
- Strong experience in:
- Instrument Panel Development
- Door Trim Design
- Interior Plastic Components
- Product Development Lifecycle
- Prior experience in technical interviewing and candidate evaluation.
- Exposure to customer-facing roles and resource planning activities.
Technical Skills
- CATIA V5/V6 and/or Siemens NX.
- Knowledge of:
- GD&T;
- DFMEA
- DFM/DFA
- APQP & PPAP
- Automotive Product Development Processes
- Injection Molding and Manufacturing Processes
- Familiarity with PLM tools such as Teamcenter, ENOVIA, or Windchill.
